Old US 25 to Berea → Pinnacles hike → US 421 over Big Hill → Gray Hawk → Flat Lick Falls → McKee → KY 89 north to Irvine → KY 52 home
Stops
The Pinnacles of Berea
Two to four miles of options to knobs with views over the whole Bluegrass rim. East Pinnacle for drama, Indian Fort Lookout for speed.
Berea old town
Watch broom-makers and glassblowers actually making things. Boone Tavern spoonbread if lunch runs fancy.
Big Hill
The precise spot where the Bluegrass gives up and Appalachia takes over. Pull off, gawk, proceed.
Flat Lick Falls
A curtain waterfall with a genuine swimming hole below, a short walk from a county park. Summer flows, water shoes, an adult reads the water first.
If the day runs long: KY 89 home twists through the knobs to Irvine — dairy-bar bingo strongly indicated.
